GARDEN CITY, Mich. -

A woman was taken to the hospital Wednesday after a fire broke out at a home in Garden City.

The fire broke out on Deering Street.

Fire crews from Madison Heights and Dearborn Heights battled the flames.

The 49-year-old woman's boyfriend and son were also in the home at the time of the fire but were not hurt.

The condition of the victim was not immediately known.
