10 people shot over 12 hours in Detroit
Residents want more Detroit police patrols, faster response
Detroit police are investigating a flurry of shootings that occurred in only a 12-hour period.
The shootings took place all around the city. But the people living on Marlborough Street on the city's east side are most concerned about their safety. Three men were shot in that neighborhood in one incident.
Lacy Hatcher is about to give up.

"You think about the safety and the well-being of your children but it's kind of rough and that's why I'm not trying to be here," Hatcher said.
Hatcher said he heard the gunshots last night and counted 15 or 20 shots fired.
He and others have tried to coordinate a neighborhood watch, contacted community groups and contacted police, but nothing seems to help.
"We've tried to do what we can, get the community working, but it's not working. Police need to beef up their security and need to patrol more and respond to the calls," Hatcher said.
As of Wednesday evening, five of those 10 gunshot victims were still hospitalized.
