DEARBORN, Mich. -

More than 7,000 spectators at the Henry Ford Museum are expected to greet approximately 100 vintage cars participating in The Great Race.

Officials say cars 105 years old will be among those concluding the nine-day, 2,300-mile international rally that circled the Great Lakes and ends at the museum in Dearborn.

Spectators can visit with the participants and experience the vehicles first-hand beginning at 2:30 p.m. Kids are encouraged to climb in the cars at the family-friendly gathering.

Founded in the early 1980's, The Great Race is the premier international rally for car collectors and automotive enthusiasts. This year's course circles The Great Lakes and covers 19 cities, 2 countries and 4 states over nine days.
