Investigators are looking into what caused a fire at Dondero High School in Royal Oak.
The fire began at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, police said.
Investigators said the fire started in the gym and appears to be suspicious.
No injuries were reported.
Firefighters said a garbage Dumpster was also burning when they arrived.
The building is no longer used for classes.
School officials said it is being renovated into a middle school.
The school was scheduled to reopen next school year. There's no word yet on whether this fire will change those plans.
