Livonia Student Injured In School Fight Goes Home
A student from a Livonia public school who was injured after he was attacked and beaten at school was released from a local hospital on Saturday.
Livonia police said they responded to Franklin High School on Wednesday after students got into a violent fight. One student was airlifted to a local hospital after he suffered a head injury.
The dispute between two students, both 16 years old, started as a text message, witnesses said.
Police and witnesses said the boy accused of the assault was twice the victim's size.
The alleged assailant remained in Wayne County Juvenile Detention Center on suspicion of assault, police said.
He has not been charged with a crime.
