Local 4 Obtains Video Of Escaped Prisoner

Police said the manhunt has ended Thursday for a prisoner who took an officer's gun and drove away in an ambulance.The man, identified by police as 23-year-old Deandre Deshon-Russell Riley, was apprehended while walking near Fenkell Street and Dexter Road on Detroit's westside. Police said the weapon was also recovered.Police said they have been searching for the prisoner since 1 a.m. on Wednesday, when he was arrested near Grand River Avenue and Livernois Avenue in Detroit.Officers said the man was driving a stolen vehicle. When officers pulled the man over and were in the process of arresting him, he told police he was not feeling well, so he was transported to Detroit Receiving Hospital.When he got to the hospital, he wrestled a gun away from an officer and then drove away in an ambulance that was carrying three people, according to police.The three people who were inside the ambulance got out safely and were not injured.
