Police: 2 Men Rob Store, Assault Employee

UPDATED: 6:34 pm EST December 28, 2006

Police are searching for two men who they said robbed a Livonia store and assaulted an employee on Saturday.

Around 8:15 p.m., two men entered the store on Six Mile Road. As a store employee was helping one of the men with merchandise, police said, he stuck a gun to her back and demanded she give him money.

After taking money from the woman and the cash register, one of the men forced the woman into the bathroom and sexually assaulted her, Livonia police said.

The woman told police the man threatened to kill her if she left the bathroom.

The robbers are described as black men in their 20s. One of the men is about 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 140 pounds, and the other man is about 6 feet tall and 250 pounds.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of these men is asked to contact Livonia police, or call Crimestoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
