Local 4 has learned one man was killed early Saturday morning after colliding with a U.S Postal Service semi-truck.

It's believed the driver of a van was moving down Fort Street near Rosa Park Boulevard when he drove into the back of the semi-truck, badly damaging both vehicles.

Officers on the scene tell Local 4 alcohol and speed may have played a factor.

The driver of the semi was unharmed, local 4 has learned. There was no information on the identity of the victims involved.
