POSTED: Monday, January 22, 2007
UPDATED: 3:07 pm EST January 22, 2007

Sterling Heights police are searching for two men who stole a parrot from a pet store.

It happened Saturday around 12:30 p.m.

Tony Delibro from Petland in Sterling Heights said the two men walked in, grabbed the bird and walked out of the store.

The two men were caught on surveillance video.

The parrot was a Quaker parrot from South America. The bird is worth $1,000.

Delibro said he is concerned because the parrot still needs to be hand fed.

If you have any information contact Sterling Heights police or Petland in Sterling Heights at 586-739-8585.

The store is located in the strip mall on the southwest corner of M59 and Mound roads.
