DPD: Missing 11-year-old returns home safe

DETROIT – UPDATE: Boy has returned home and is safe with his family. 

Detroit police say an 11-year-old boy went missing after leaving to play basketball near Detroit's east side, Thursday afternoon.

Detroit police say an 11-year-old boy has gone missing after leaving to play basketball near Detroit's east side.

Myron Bracey, Jr., was last seen at his home on the 3400 block of Belvedere, Thursday afternoon, by his mother.

Police say Myron is around 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs apparently 100 pounds. Myron has a brown complexion, brown eyes and has short dread locks.

DPD says he was last seen wearing green shorts and gym shoes. He was not wearing a shirt when he left the house.

Detroit police say Myron is in good physical and mental condition, and urge anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact the Seventh Precinct's Investigative Unit at (313) 596-5740
