TROY, Mich. -- The Troy City Council tabled a decision Monday on whether Hooters of America could transfer its liquor license from one location to another location in Troy.
Three council members were not able to attend the meeting so they agreed to postpone the vote.
The restaurant chain filed a $1 million lawsuit in federal court against the city of Troy after the city council refused to allow the restaurant to transfer its liquor license.
Council members said Hooters doesn't fit the image they want in the Big Beaver corridor, which is primarily upscale shops, malls and restaurants.
The decision is expected to come April 2 at the next council meeting.
