Muslim leader Rabih Haddad will find out Wednesday whether or not he will have to remain in jail.
Haddad (pictured, left), 41, has been detained since Dec. 14. Federal agents arrested him on an expired visa violation, but are more interested in the Global Relief Foundation. The Global Relief Foundation is a charity that Haddad co-founded in 1992.
Haddad is currently an assistant imam at the Islamic Center of Ann Arbor and a board member and former chief executive officer of the Global Relief Foundation.
Investigators want to know if the charity funnels money to terrorist groups. Friends and family say that the group only helps people in need.
Haddad is a native of Lebanon and lives in the Ann Arbor area with his wife and four children.
Haddad's hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday. Stay with ClickOnDetroit.com and Local First News for the latest developments.
