A preliminary examination for two men accused of beating one man and gang-raping his girlfriend before leaving her for dead was waived Tuesday.
Erik Muehlenbein and Ali Tleis, both of Dearborn, (pictured, left) have been charged with kidnapping, assault and criminal sexual conduct in the alleged Jan. 20 incident.
Police are still searching for Mohammed Hasan, aka Crazy Mo, (pictured, right) of River Rouge, the third suspect in the case.

The couple reportedly met the suspects at Clutch Cargo's nightclub in downtown Pontiac. The victims, a 24-year-old Oxford woman and her 27-year-old male companion from Lake Orion, were leaving the nightclub and reportedly had too much to drink.
The three men offered them a ride home, Local 4 learned. The man was allegedly thrown from the car, run over, and beaten by the suspects at Myrtle Street and Telegraph Road.
The suspects allegedly drove away with the woman. Police said that they went to the home of one of the suspects in River Rouge where they reportedly gang-raped her, Local 4 learned. The suspects then reportedly took the woman to Belle Isle in Detroit and forced her out of the car.
Prosecutors said that the suspects smashed her head against a tree. The woman pretended to be unconscious, and the suspects left, Local 4 reported. The woman called 911 on a cell phone that she had kept concealed throughout the ordeal.
Hasan, was released from jail a week prior to the attack, after serving two months on a probation violation, Local 4 reported. He has been convicted of attempted sexual assault, Local 4 reported.
Investigators think that Hasan might have fled to Pakistan.
