The Southfield fire department says crews worked for nearly 12 hours to extinguish a stubborn blaze outside a sprawling recycling center in the Detroit suburb.
The department says it cleared the scene on Friday morning. It says one firefighter reported an upper body strain that didn't require medical treatment.
