People from all over metro Detroit came down to Mexicantown for the 2012 Cinco de Mayo Parade. The parade went from Patton Park to Clark Park along Vernor and included several bands and various organizations. Cinco de Mayo recognizes Mexico's battle of Puebla in 18-62, but also celebrates Mexican culture, history, food, and the arts.
