PONTIAC, Mich. -

A 13-year-old boy called police Wednesday night to report two people had broken into his home in the 100 block of Howard McNeil Street in Pontiac.

Oakland County Sheriff's deputies say the boy, who was home alone, said a man and woman had broken into the home. When deputies arrived at the home they found the suspects had stolen several electronic items before fleeing into a field behind the home.

The boy was not injured during the home invasion. He hid and called 911.

Caller: I'm so scared! They're trying to kick in the door! They're trying to kick in the door!

911: OK, I hear you. OK. In the room that you're in, is the door shut?

Caller: Oh my god! They're going to get me! I'm so scared!

911: I don't hear anything in the background. Is the room that you're in, is the door shut and locked?

Caller: They're in the basement. They're trying to kick in the basement door. Please! Tell them to please hurry!

Deputies, aided by a Sheriff's K-9, searched for and found the suspects. They were arrested.

Deputies say the 20-year-old Pontiac man and 19-year-old Pontiac woman had dumped the stolen electronics in the field behind the home. Deputies recovered the items.

Both are being held at the Oakland County Jail pending charges.
