Last week the democrats had their 14th debate.
The republicans gear up for another debate later this month.
We pay so much attention to the presidential election and for good reason, but often the local elections don't get their due.
People often wonder how certain politicians make it into such powerful positions.
Well, many of the them first get elected in local elections.
Local elections in which few people are looking, caring or voting. If you don't know what is on your ballot and don't vote, you don't know what other people are deciding to do with your schools, your taxes, your community.
Detroit voters regained the right to elect their school board.
Now it's their responsibility to make informed choices and vote on election day.
Around the region there are mayoral elections, millage proposals, and many other issues on the ballots. We, at local 4, encourage you to research what is on *your* ballot and make informed decisions at the polls on election day.
We've got the tools you need on our Web site -- you can find information on the races and the issues at ClickOnDetroit.com.
