UPDATED: 7:53 am EST January 10, 2008

An Adrian man accused of killing a woman and four children in a wrong-way crash on Interstate 280 in Toledo while he was drunk has been indicted on new charges.

A Lucas County grand jury on Wednesday indicted Michael Gagnon, 24, on five counts of aggravated vehicular homicide and two counts of aggravated vehicular assault.

He faces up to 50 years in prison if convicted on all counts.

Police said he drove drunk and the wrong way on a Toledo interstate on Dec. 30 when his pickup truck hit a minivan filled with eight people coming home from a Christmas trip.

Police said Gagnon's blood-alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit.
