Police: Man Lured Minor From MySpace

UPDATED: 12:38 pm EST January 7, 2008

Douglas Brian Wall, 26, of Ferndale, was arraigned Friday on charges he had sex with a 15-year-old girl he's accused of luring to his home after corresponding with her on MySpace.com.

According to police, Wall routinely supplied minors with drugs and alcohol.

A parent tipped off police shortly before midnight on New Year's Eve. The parent said he discovered his minor children had been at Wall's home.

A search of his home turned up marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

The investigation also revealed that Wall had sex with a 15-year-old girl from "a nearby city" several times over a two-month period. Police said other juveniles, some as young as 14, were in the house during the encounters, drinking and using drugs.

Wall was charged with five counts of criminal sexual conduct. Bond was set Friday for $100,000.

The Ferndale Police Department is asking anyone with information on other contacts Wall may have had with children to call them at 248-541-3650.
