Police: 'Speeding Ticket Frenzy' E-mail A Hoax

DETROIT -- Police are warning residents to ignore an e-mail hoax claiming that police in Michigan are about to go on a speeding-ticket spree.The message says "speeding ticket frenzy" and claims that Michigan State Police officers are going to try to give out as many speeding tickets as possible in hopes of generating money in ticket fines.Police said the e-mail is not true and drivers have nothing to worry about.The e-mail has been sent to residents in several states.
