Southfield Hunts Armed Bank Robber

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -- Southfield Police are on the lookout for an man who robbed the Lasalle Bank in the 25000 block of Greenfield Road on Wednesday with a semiautomatic handgun.
According to police, a man wearing a ski mask pulled over his face entered the bank, showed his handgun and ordered a teller to put money into his backpack.
"No dye packs," the man told the teller, police said.
Police said the teller complied and the man took off with an undisclosed amount of money. Police said they did not know whether he fled on foot or in a vehicle.
The robber is described as an African-American male with a medium build and medium-dark complexion, wearing a dark colored puffy coat with a hood, a black ski mask with red stitching on the bottom, blue jeans, black gym shoes, white gloves and carrying a U-shaped black backpack with a red stripe on it.
