Fundraiser Held For Injured Auto Writer

An event is being held tonight starting at 5 p.m. at Seldom Blues in the Renaissance Center to raise money for Detroit automotive writer Frank Washington Jr., who was
severely beaten and stabbed in early February.
Police said that Washington, 60, was stabbed and beaten during his routine morning walk near Ward Street and McNichols Road on Detroit's west side.
Luther "Badman" Keith, himself a veteran Detroit journalist, will provide the entertainment.
