Home Ownership Retention Seminar Planned

Oakland County residents can learn how to avoid foreclosure at a meeting Monday in Highland at 7 p.m.

Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson launched this series of free foreclosure and intervention and prevention seminars to help combat rising foreclosure rates.

Topics at this seminar include budgeting, credit, choosing the right mortgage when refinancing, steps to stop the foreclosure process, and what to do after the foreclosure process has started.

Monday's meeting will be held at the Milford High School (LGI Room), 2380 S. Milford Road.
