2 In Custody Accused In Vandalizing Bus Tires

TAYLOR, Mich. -- Taylor police are investigating a case of vandalism at a local school district bus yard.They said they have two people in custody, one adult and one child, in connection who they said slashed more than 70 tires overnight Thursday.Officials at the Taylor Transportation Department said the school has 83 buses in their fleet and more than 70 were affected.
School was cancelled on Friday."It is a shame. More than 6,600 students were disrupted today because of it," said superintendent Beth Iverson.Belle Tire, who handles the tire maintenance for the school, arrived with replacement ties and have fixed the damaged ones.It is unclear if school will be back in session on Monday.
