Microwaved Cat Gets New Home

DETROIT -- A cat badly burned inside a microwave last month has been adopted.A Detroit family brought the cat, named Stouffer, to the VCA Animal Hospital in Detroit after their child put it in a microwave and turned it on.The family told the hospital they had received the cat as a gift and did not have the money to pay the medical bills.
The kitten's feet, tail and ears were burned and its tail and ears had to be amputated.But Thursday, a fully recovered Stouffer the cat was adopted by a Canton couple.
