News Release On Tiger Stadium DemolitionThat means the clock is ticking for those who would like to preserve some of the Detroit history remaining Michigan Avenue and Trumbull Street – once affectionately known as "The Corner."The Old Tiger Stadium Conservancy, a nonprofit group, must come up with about $15 million by June 1 to preserve a portion of the old park – one corner – to be converted into a community center and museum.If not, the whole stadium could be demolished within a month.
