Worker Dies After Hart Plaza Accident

DETROIT -- A 37-year-old construction worker died Wednesday after he was trapped in a 50-foot hole in Hart Plaza.Police said the worker was installing a sewer line inside of the 50-foot hole when the sewer line came loose, shifted and trapped him inside.Firefighters went down in the hole and found the man unconscious.He was transported to Detroit Receiving Hospital where he later died from his injuries. Health officials said they believe he died of cardiac arrest.Police are waiting to release the victim's name until after his family is notified.
