1944: Singer-songwriter and musician Peter Cetera, best known for being an original member of the rock band Chicago, before launching a successful solo career, is born in Chicago, Ill. Cetera has scored several Top-40 hits as a solo artist, including "Glory of Love" and "The Next Time I Fall," which both went to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
