1943: Hall of Fame second baseman Joe Morgan, who won two World Series championships with the Reds in 1975 and 1976 and was also named the National League Most Valuable Player in those years, is born in Bonham, Texas. The 10-time All-Star also played for the Houston Astros, San Francisco Giants, Philadelphia Phillies and Oakland Athletics.
