Police Arrest 5 In Theft Of Computers

DETROIT -- The Detroit Public Schools Department of Public Safety arrested five individuals police said were caught stealing more than 30 computers from Van Zile Elementary in Detroit.
Two of the suspects are adults and three are juveniles, police said.
Police said they acted on a tip from a concerned citizen, set up a sting operation and recovered the stolen computers.
Police also said they are investigating whether the suspects are also responsible for an additional $60,000 in stolen computers from three other Detroit schools.
The DPS will hold a news conference at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at 9001 Woodward Avenue to reveal more information on the arrests.
