DETROIT -- Three teens faced a judge for a preliminary hearing in connection to several mob beatings in Mount Clemens.
Jemall Davidson, 16, is charged with assault with intent to murder, a count of rioting and a count of assault and battery. Deonte Williams, 17, is charged with attempted murder and 18-year-old Steve Lincoln is charged with assault. Charges against him may be upgraded to attempted murder, said prosecutors.
The three teens are accused of being part of a group of 20 to 30 people who beat up a man outside a gas station, attacked and robbed at least one motorist, and may also be responsible for several other violent crimes that took place earlier this month.
Charges against 17-year-old Johnny Allor were dismissed Monday because of insufficient evidence.
Three more males face charges in the case.
