A dog that fell out of a family’s camper early Thursday on northbound U.S. 23 has been claimed.
His owners, a family from Midland, were on their way to Bishop Lake to camp when the dog somehow fell out the window of their camper.
It happened on U.S. 23 near Warren, just south of Whitmore Lake.
The Doberman mix, named Bo, was rescued by a fellow driver who picked up the dog from the side of the road.
The dog was taken by the man to the Griffith Veterinary Hospital, where veterinarian Barbara Griffith treated the dog.
The man told Griffith the screen on the camper popped out, the dog fell out and was knocked unconscious on the side of the road.
Griffith said Bo didn’t suffer any serious injuries and is fine.
The family is expected to pick up the dog at the vet hospital Friday.
