DETROIT -- Gov. Jennifer Granholm, who is a former federal prosecutor, is seeking advice from the U.S. attorney's office on how to handle the scandal swirling around Detroit city leaders, according to published reports.
Granholm contacted federal prosecutors to explore a resolution on the removal of Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and the dirty deal involving City Council.
The mayor's office is not commenting on the reports, and neither is the governor's office.
