Three suspects were arrested on charges of breaking into work vans and stealing tools and equipment worth thousands of dollars and four catalytic converters said Commissioner William Dwyer.

The incident took place in the Fields Fire Protection Company's parking lot in Warren around 5:15 Friday morning.

The police were notified by a woman who claimed she heard glass breaking and saw the suspects enter the vans.

While police were heading to the scene, they were notified the suspects were fleeing the location in a dark-colored vehicle.

Police located the vehicle traveling southbound on Sherwood Road.

The vehicle was stopped by a traffic light.

Police approached the vehicle and apprehended three black male suspects.

They were identified as Fred Vogel, 45, Kenyantta Cyidae King, 29, and Robert Andre Richie, 31.

While searching the vehicle they found four catalytic converters, four reciprocating saws and several tools and equipment from Fields Fire Protection Company.
