A band battle is issued for Friday at 9 p.m.Country singer Kenny Chesney is hosting the Next Big Star Contest to pick the opening acts for his 33-city tour.The winner will have a chance to open in their hometown for Chesney's Poets and Pirates Tour.The grand prize winner will open all three shows in Tulsa, St. Louis and Indiapolis, have a tour bus for the final weekend, $25,000 and an audition for Sony/RLG A&R Department.The battle will take place at The Hard Rock Cafe.The next day, the winning band opens for Chesney's concert at Ford Field.For more information visit the Hard Rock Cafe's Web site www.hardrock.com.
