WATERFORD, Mich. -- Waterford police are investigating an attempted robbery last Friday at a Waterford Check & Go on Highland Road.
Police said a man entered the store and handed the clerk a note demanding money. The man implied he had a weapon, but one was not seen.
While the clerk was opening the cash drawer, he alerted another employee to activate the alarm.
The man fled the store on foot without any money.
Waterford police dogs tracked the man's scent to the back of the building, but police said he got into a vehicle and left.
The man is described as white, about 25 years old, 5 feet 11 inches tall, and weighing 175 pounds.
He has short straight black hair, a goatee and a mustache. He was wearing a white shirt, white shorts, with a blue stripe, white socks, and white tennis shoes.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Waterford Police Department at 248-674-0351.
