ROYAL OAK, Mich. -- A 23-year-old Royal Oak man was arraigned on drug and firearm felony charges at the 44th District Court Thursday.
Yakov Vyacheslavov Rakhamimov was charged with delivery and manufacture of marijuana, felony possession of a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon and malicious destruction of property.
Rakhamimov is one of three suspects arrested on Crooks Road and Washington Boulevard in Royal Oak Tuesday night after residents reported a gunman chasing two men through the streets.
Police said the gunman on foot caught up to the chase victims and he and two other men in a car tried kidnapping the two victims.
No charges have been issued against the two other suspects. A man and a juvenile were arrested, however, the juvenile was released.
Through further investigation, police searched the gunman's home on the 200 block of W. 12 Mile Road, and found a home marijuana-grow operation worth $175,000, stolen police property, other stolen items and a plethora of guns.
Police said they believe the property was stolen during multiple home invasions and larcenies, and police are trying to locate the property owners.
Also police found a stolen Detroit police officer badge that belonged to a retired officer.
A bond was set at $750,000 for Rakhamimov.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be sought.
