TAYLOR, Mich. -- Police are looking for two men who are accused of impersonating police officers in Taylor.
Police said the men flash badges and order victims to pull over. They then tell the victims they are undercover police officers conducting drunken driving enforcement or a drug investigation.
One person was put through field sobriety tests before the impersonating officers stole his wallet.
Two other people were removed from their vehicle, frisked and property was stolen from the trunk of their car.
The two men tried to use one of the victim's credit cards at a nearby store.
The imposters' car is described as a late 80s to early 90s four-door, possibly a Chrysler New Yorker or Oldsmobile product. It’s brown or burgundy with a light-colored left quarter panel. It also has a dent in the front left fender.
Police said they have some kind of emergency light on their car.
They also told Local 4 residents should always pull into a well-lit area. And, if residents are still uncertain if the person is a police office to call 911.
Anyone with information is asked to call Taylor police at 734-374-1422.
