Man Shot On Bus, Sheriff's Office Searching For Alleged Shooter

DETROIT -- A 37-year-old man was shot while on a Detroit city bus Sunday near Wayne State University at the intersection of Woodward and Warren avenues.
A Wayne County Sheriff’s deputy on the scene told Local 4 that at about 3 p.m., an altercation ensued between a woman rider and the victim on the bus.
The woman was also accompanied by a man who was holding a baby.
The deputy said when the woman attempted to get off the bus, the victim who she had been fighting with spit on her.
The man who was with the woman pulled out what the deputy said he thought was a 380 automatic gun and shot the victim in the stomach. The alleged shooter, woman and the baby exited the bus.
The deputy said the man was treated at Detroit Receiving Hospital and is in stable condition.
The deputy said there were very few witnesses to the incident and the sheriff’s office had a limited description of the alleged shooter and woman.
