LIVONIA, Mich. -- A van police were chasing slammed into two other cars in Livonia near Lyndon and Schoolcraft Road Thursday afternoon.
Livonia police said an officer saw the van carrying three men in the area of Five Mile and Middlebelt Roads.
Police said the van had expired plates and the officer tried to pull them over. The driver took off south on Middlebelt Road and veered over the center line into two oncoming cars near Lyndon.
Police said the driver of one of the two cars was injured and taken to an area hospital.
No one else was hurt.
The three men in the van were taken into custody.
Police said they are not sure if the men are responsible for any crimes, other than fleeing police, but will conduct an investigation.
