UPDATED: 11:24 am EDT October 6, 2008

The Michigan Secretary of State and the city and county clerks' offices could be busy places Monday, as it is the last day to register to vote in the November general elections.

To register, you must be at least 18 years old, be a U.S. citizen and be a first-time voter.

If you have changed your name, changed your address or have not voted in past year, you will need to check your registration status.

Macomb County Clerk Carmella Sabaugh will keep her office open until midnight on Monday to accept voter registration forms.

Macomb residents can download a form on the county clerk’s Web site by clicking here, or visit the secretary of state’s Web site and submit it in person at the Macomb County Clerk’s Office on Monday, until midnight at the Macomb County Court Building, 40 North Main, Mount Clemens, north of Cass Avenue, between Northbound Gratiot and Main Street.
