Monday Is Voter Registration Deadline

The Michigan Secretary of State and the city and county clerks' offices could be busy places Monday, as it is the last day to register to vote in the November general elections.
To register, you must be at least 18 years old, be a U.S. citizen and be a first-time voter.
If you have changed your name, changed your address or have not voted in past year, you will need to check your registration status.
Macomb County Clerk Carmella Sabaugh will keep her office open until midnight on Monday to accept voter registration forms.

by clicking here, or visit the
secretary of state’s Web site and submit it in person at the Macomb County Clerk’s Office on Monday, until midnight at the Macomb County Court Building, 40 North Main, Mount Clemens, north of Cass Avenue, between Northbound Gratiot and Main Street.

Publius Voter Guide OnlineAt the polls, voters will be asked to present voter identification. Voters who do not have photo ID with them at the polls can sign an affidavit.
In addition to a Michigan drivers license or state-issued ID, other acceptable forms of identification include:
Drivers license or personal identification card issued by another state
Federal or state government-issued photo identification
U.S. passport
Military ID with photo
Student identification with photo from a high school or accredited institution of higher learning
Tribal identification card with photo
