Carolyn and Mel Wanzo Scholarship Foundation To Hold Celebration

The Carolyn and Mel Wanzo Scholarship Foundation will host a celebration for Wayne State University's brightest jazz students on Oct. 11.The event, held at the Charles Wright Museum of African American History, will begin at 6 p.m.A raffle will be held featuring jewelry items provided by Alan James Jewelers and jazzy items provided by "All That Jazz". Appetizers and music will be provided.Proceeds from the event will benefit the Carolyn and Mel Wanzo Scholarship Fund. Scholarships aid music and social work at Wayne State University.Tickets can be purchased by calling 313-567-8367 or by visiting www.melwanzoscholarship.com. Ticket price is $75.
