Letter Carrier Robbed; Reward Offered

A United States Postal Service letter carrier was robbed Friday in Detroit. The Postal Inspection Service is offering $5,000 for any information leading to an arrest.

At approximately 11:30 a.m., the letter carrier was robbed at gunpoint at 6903 Artesian St.

The suspects are described as two black males between the ages of 17 and 19, about 5'3"-5'4" tall and about 130 pounds. They were described as wearing blue jeans and a black skull cap.

They were driving a 1978-1980, burgundy Ford Thunderbird, according to the victim.

This type of crime affects the ability of the Postal Service to deliver mail.

A cash reward is offered to any person who has information leading to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible.

Anyone with info should contact the Postal Inspection Service at 877-876-2455.
