The Life of Martin Luther King Jr.

On April 4th, 1968 Martin Luther King, Jr. was fatally shot while standing on the balcony outside his home in Memphis, Tennessee.  He was in Memphis to support a sanitation workers' strike. He is most well known for his campaigns to end racial segregation on public transport and for racial equality in the United States. Learn more about his extraordinary life.
