Radiothon Raises More Than $2 Million

DETROIT -- Oldies 104.3 WOMC, Dick Purtan and Purtan's people and The Salvation Army joined forces for the 22nd annual Dick Purtan radiothon Friday, raising $2,262,931.
The 16-hour event took place live at Oakland Mall from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
It helped The Salvation Army's Bed and Bread Program which brings food, shelter and services to hundreds of people in the communtiy.
The Bed and Bread program provides almost 5,000 meals a day and financial help to those in need.

Additionally, more Local 4 talent made appearances throughout the radiothon.
