SUMPTER TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A toddler died Monday night after he was hit by a car in Sumpter Township.
Police said the 19-month-old boy was struck in the 40000 block of Harris Road, rushed to a hospital by ambulance, but died from his injuries.
The driver that hit the boy, a 59-year-old Sumpter Township resident, stopped at the scene and is cooperating with police.
Police said they were not immediately releasing any more information on the incident.
