WOODHAVEN, Mich. -- Police said a man who robbed a clerk at a Wal-Mart store in Woodhaven implied he had a gun.
Police said the man went through a check-out lane at the Wal-Mart store on Allen Road shortly after noon on March 27 and purchased one bottle of pop.
The clerk said after she bagged the bottle, the man told her he had a gun under his coat and he demanded he put all the cash from the register in the bag. When the clerk put the cash in the bag, the robber told her to add the rolled coins from the register plus the one dollar he gave her for the purchase.
The robber walked out of the store and was gone before police arrived. Security cameras showed he drove off in an older Ford Ranger pickup truck.
The robber is described as a white man in his late 30s, about 5 feet 7 inches tall with dark hair and a mustache.
No one was injured in the robbery.
