1 Dead In Pittsfield Township Crash
63-Year-Old Pittsfield Resident Killed

PITTSFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- A man was killed in an three-vehicle crash in Pittsfield Township Thursday afternoon, police said.The accident happened at about 1 p.m. in the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Carpenter Road.The victim was a passenger in a minivan that attempted to turn left on Michigan Avenue while oncoming traffic still had a green light, police said.An oncoming truck was unable to avoid the minivan and struck it on its passenger side, killing a 63-year-old Pittsfield Township resident.The truck also hit an SUV.The driver of the minivan was transported to an area hospital. A condition is not know.No one was else was hurt.Michigan Avenue and Carpenter Road were closed for about an hour during the investigation.
