A 63-year-old man was found dead inside a house on Detroit's west side Monday morning.
The Detroit Fire Department was called to the home on Littlefield Street around 4:30 a.m. The man was trying to keep warm by sleeping with a hot plate and his blanket caught fire, Local 4 learned.
Firefighters continue to investigate.
No other information is available.
