WESTLAND, Mich. -- A missing dog is safe at home with his family.
The dog drama began on Wednesday night at the Meijer store in Westland.
Lisa Hermosilla went into the grocery store to do some quick shopping and her husband pulled the car up to the door to pick his wife up.
When he stepped out to help his wife, who is physically disabled, someone jumped in the car and took off, with Hermosilla's wheelchair and the couple's Shih Tzu named Buster.
Fast forward to Saturday, when a mystery woman brought the pooch into a Detroit pawn shop, saying a friend of her's had abandoned the dog.
The shop's owner, Mark Smith, quickly recognized the pup.
Smith said, "Bells went off in my head that I had saw your newscast last night, and I saw this article on this dog and I ran out and yelled at her, caught her and brought her back in here".
